Things are getting better. The snow is still soft and wet, leaving it collapse in some spots but it will get better eeryday as it continues to settle. We need some temps in the low 20’s (at least). On the plus side, there is now plenty of coverage. New tracks are set on the Greenbelt and that is in good shape. At the Game Club, everything is combed for skating and is pretty nice. Swamp road and the new power line hill are rough. They need more time to set up. There is also a track set on most of the trails. Enjoy!

Combed the Green Belt this am but no tracks. It will take a few days to get things in good shape. Although we finally received the snow we need, it is the worst kind for grooming. It needs to settle a dry before much can be done…plus, there are a few trees down at the Game Club.

Tracks set on the Green Belt and at the Game Club this morning. Game Club also combed for skating. Things are getting better. There are still a few thin spots to watch for near the bridge and on Swamp Road. Swamp Road is combed but no tracks. The Green Belt is in very good shape with the exception of the ruts from the snow-shoes.

The new snow has helped and there are finally fresh tracks on the Green Belt. The classic skiing there is good. I groomed the Game Club as well and the skating is very good. Be sure to watch for some thin spots…especially coming up from the bridge. I made a pass on Swamp Road but I do not recommend skiing there. Track has also been set at the Game Club where possible. I would like to say that the recent inch or so of snow has helped but it hasn’t done much. I touched up everything as best as I could today. There are very shallow tracks on the Green Belt. The Game Club is surprisingly good for skating but be sure to use rock skis and watch for bare spots. Pray for 6 -12 inches. That is what we need to get things back in great shape.

Jan 30 Wolverine ESG - Classical Race Canceled

Mondays high temps and rain have made parts of the trail un-raceable. Not enough new snow to repair in time for the race. The ESG and Bill Koch portions of this race have been canceled for now. We may reschedule for later in the year.

The Women’s only Clinic for sunday is still on for now.

Thursdays Kids program will be held as normal

The new groomer is hooked up and amazing!! I can’t wait to use it more. I made a few passes today and you will notice the difference this groomer makes when skiing. Thanks to everyone who made it possible and a special thanks to my father who helped me with the wiring and set up.

Now for the trails…bottom line…WE NEED SNOW. Let’s hope that the rain is not too bad and the lake effect comes. For now, skiing is ok. I have to wait and see what comes over the next few days before any serious grooming can be done.
