Grooming Report

Combed the Greenbelt and about a kilometer at the Gameclub.  Snow is wet and heavy and is not easy to groom.  My guess is that skiing may be OK, but better if you can get out early tomorrow morning.

Grooming Report

Well, I was a little excited to find 4-5 inches in Marcy and met with disappointment when I arrived to find half (at best) of that at the Game Club.  So, needless to say, any attempt to groom would have been futile.  There is very little coverage and the water is working its way through from below.  My recommendation… buy a ticket to BC or Canada.

Grooming Report

Tracks set on the greenbelt this morning.  They are thin so use caution.

The Game Club has been combed and the skating is getting better.  Rock skis are still highly recommended.  I opened a few more trails today…out to the power line and back and the horseshoe loop are now combed.  Use Caution.  I did not go down power line hill and I don’t recommend that anyone does.  With it being a gravel road, there is still not enough snow to keep from catching a rock and a possible broken ski, binding, pole, arm, leg etc…

Get out before Monday’s meltdown!!

Grooming Report

I was able to drive around all the trails today and I began to lay down a base.  Things are very thin.  It is possible to ski but with rock skis only.  Be extra cautious as it is easy to catch your ski and be on the ground with no warning.  A few people skied on the Greenbelt and it looked surprisingly good.  However, there were still some bare spots coming through.  With the cold temperatures tonight, the packed snow should set up and help to prevent skis from going through to the bare ground.  Another 6 inches would put most of the trails in very good condition.

The snow at the Game Club is currently too deep to groom.  All trails are currently closed.  Please check back when some of the snow melts.

Grooming Report

Attempted to set a track this morning but snow set up pretty solid last night so I couldn’t get one in. Looks like that is it for the season as bare spots are starting to open up. Get the roller skis out and enjoy the summer!
